Sold my Soul to the Devil

That's pretty much how I feel about it. Ever since my first drum machine, I joined the dark side. It's not your job to make me rich. My feeling is that Suno or SynthV or Realitone are all make tools for similar jobs, but from different angles, so I think it's kinda nice how each person...

    Atmosphere

I'm a metal head at heart, so I like this. (I'm also R&B at heart. Go figure.) If your up for a couple "just my opinion, but...", then my main two thoughts is the bass could be louder and the vocals could be quieter. I'd probably also roll off some of the highs on the voice, which I assume...

Sorry about the ads on the sides

Full disclosure, none of the ads here are paid ads. We just put them there to make the site look more established. (I just reposted VI-C ads that seemed more songwriter oriented than orchestral.)

Sorry about the ads on the sides

I took them down a minute ago and was going to title this "Sorry about the ads that were on the sides", but then figured people might want to see what I was talking about. So I put them back up. Gearspace does these ("Site skins" or whatever they're called), and they try to sell me (Realitone)...

Cool song! The production is really well dont, too. I wouldn't recognize the background vocals if you hadn't hinted, but I'm going to guess Cheryl/Blue? I wish I could do collaborations, but as you're probably guessed, I'm so far behind on everything that I can't do anything new.

    Good Friday song

Yep, that's where I would start it. That's just me, though. People who ignore my advice often wind up doing very well, so don't too much stock into what I say. Listening again, though, I'd be really tempted to start the song with just kick drum and a soft synth pad. Something warm...

Using Synth V for Songwriting #2: Painting Better Melodies

That describes me, too. I can't think of a time where I started with a melody and the lyric coming second. I've started many time with a track, mind you, but for whatever reason, I either do the lyric first, or better yet, both lyric and melody come at the same time. With that said, I'm a...

    Good Friday song

Cool song. I can't help but offer some suggestions, with the caveat that this is just my opinion. The vocals seem very out front, so I would turn them down, or else bring up the other instruments, especially the drums. I would also hit the compressor harder on your vocal. Mind you, I'm a...

Sonarworks SoundID VoiceAI - First attempt!

Those are both very impressive, although I especially like Ferocious. I'd hit the Like button on that one if it appeared in my Spotify rotation.

    A Bad Guess

I like this a lot. (I might tweak the drums in the intro, but I'm starting to like that more, so don't listen to me.) I'm curious whether the vocals are real. If so, you or whoever that is are a really good singer.

    Method Songwriting

Speaking for myself (and I assume a few others), I'm way more pop than orchestral. (Embarrassing admission - When we were getting ready to record Sunset Strings and the guys said the main articulation should be "sul tasto", I didn't know what that was. Same for "ricochets" and a number of...

Sonarworks SoundID VoiceAI - First attempt!

Wow, that surprises me, although listening back, I may have been a little harsh, since D doesn't sound bad at all. (I, along with most peopole with decent hearing, would prefer your singing over mine. ;) ) I just figured it was one of the derivatives because it seemed to have less...

Sonarworks SoundID VoiceAI - First attempt!

I think a casual listener would not be able to tell, and even in my own case, they're all "believable." But ... they're not all good, and I think that's the tell. Hopefully I'm not about to offend, but I would reject C, D and E as not great interpretations of the song. (I'd be telling the...

    Method Songwriting

What comes to mind for me with "kissing" is the Katy Perry song, where the first line in chorus, "I kissed a girl and I liked it", is certainly provocative. But it's the second line - "The taste of her cherry Chapstick" - that makes it real for the listener.

    Songs by Month

Acchhh! We need to be more careful about who we allow on the forum, starting with a requirement that members be able to read! In my defense, I did understand what this thread was about ... when it started. But as you proabably guessed, I forgot (even with the title serving as a...
