Sorry about the ads on the sides

I took them down a minute ago and was going to title this "Sorry about the ads that were on the sides", but then figured people might want to see what I was talking about. So I put them back up.

Gearspace does these ("Site skins" or whatever they're called), and they try to sell me (Realitone) on them. So yesterday I wondered if VI-C should do the same and André put a test version here.

Cut to the chase - I really dislike how it looks, so I don't think we'll do it. But in case anyone is interested in the inner workings of stuff like this, there you go.

I think it's all about size and colors. I uploaded a more subdued ad, quickly put together. I'd go almost monochrome, with even smaller images. And I smoothed the fade in. Refresh the page to see the difference.

And people can X it off if they want to.
