Although her sound and style never appealed to me personally, I have so much respect for her business prowess and her contributions to entertainment and to the world. She was an industry titan.

She was an immensely talented and gifted songwriter, in addition to all her many accomplishments.

Learning of her passing stopped me in my tracks for a minute today. Dolly was one of those people who seemed like she would always be around and perpetually relevant - like Willie Nelson or Tony Bennett.
