So, I'm a newcomer to the music scene still. I started to learn music making about 1,5 half years ago. I'm 43 years old, and I've got no previous background to any of this, but I'm filled with childlike curiosity.
I've got all the tools, bells and whistles to produce great sounding songs, but no skills. I started this backwards, but it is what it is.
I'm already a year-long user of VI-control for cinematic and orchestral topics, but as I'm dipping my feet to also possibly in Pop/Rock/EDM when trying to learn things, I thought this would be a good forum to also follow.
I'm at a point where I want to learn "everything", but I'm painfully aware that if I don't concentrate on a narrower list of styles, I'm never going anywhere in my learning journey.
So, I guess the main goal for me is to try a lot of things out, enjoy the process of discovery and learning and eventually find the genre that I get the most joy creating.
