Just finished listening to Big Magic in audiobook form, and found it very inspiring. It offers pragmatic and “mentally healthy” ways of approaching creative endeavors (as a significant part of one’s life).
Super helpful in getting myself to dive back into a regular songwriting regimen.
Elizabeth Gilbert is a writer (famous for Eat, Pray, Love, which I never read nor did I see the movie) but her ideas apply across many art forms, and she at once takes herself seriously, and doesn’t take herself seriously, which is refreshing. Won’t be everybody’s cup of tea, but it was mine.
What resources have others found particularly inspiring?
