I think so, and the basic sound quality seems pretty consistent in other demos. The feeling I get seems to be stronger with sustained sounds.

I'd like to put in a word for layering. Clarity and separation in the mix needn't apply to everything. Sometimes, you may want multiple tracks layering sounds to create a single piece of the mix. So, the individual tracks may lack clarity; but the the whole piece together can be clearly heard...
